  • How Much Does a Privacy Fence Cost?
The cost of a privacy fence varies depending on the material, size, and complexity of the installation. Vinyl is more expensive initially but is cost-effective in the long run due to its durability and low maintenance requirements.
  • How Tall Can My Privacy Fence Be?
Fence height regulations vary by location. Most residential privacy fences are between 6 to 8 feet tall. It’s important to check with your local municipality or homeowners' association for any height restrictions before installing your fence.
  • Do I Need a Permit to Install a Privacy Fence?
In many cases, a permit is required to install a fence. The requirements can vary by city and county, so it's crucial to check with your local building department to understand the necessary steps and to ensure you comply with all regulations.
  • How Long Does a Privacy Fence Last?
The lifespan of a privacy fence depends on the material and maintenance. A well-maintained wood fence can last up to 20 years, while vinyl and composite materials can last even longer with proper care.
  • How Do Privacy Fences Handle Wind and Weather?
Privacy fences can act as windbreaks, but they must be properly installed and reinforced to withstand high winds and severe weather. Using sturdy posts and ensuring there are no gaps between the ground and the bottom of the fence can help mitigate wind pressure.

  • How Long Does Fence Staining Take?
Each job will take a different amount of time to complete: It takes two days to clean and stain a fence if it needs to be cleaned. In the case of new fences that don't need to be cleaned, the process takes one day. It takes three to five hours to complete each step.

  • Fence Installation & Repair Warranty
FenceGo performs all work in accordance with industry standards and guarantees its workmanship and materials for 1 year. The structure warranty covers only workmanship. Spacing, splitting, and warping are common features of dimensional lumber and should be expected. The warranty does not cover board splits under 6 inches. Normal surface cracks are not covered by warranties.
  • Fence Staining Warranty
All fence staining services are backed by a 3-year limited warranty. Deck staining is covered by a 1-year limited warranty.
